HYROX Dublin runs 11 to 15 November 2026 at the Royal Dublin Society, Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin D04 E6N6. Divisions and waves spread across that window, so your race day depends on your entry.
The race itself is identical to every other HYROX. Venue, travel and preparation are what you control.

Why trust this
The date and venue are read from HYROX's own event listing rather than estimated. Ben Sutherland races Pro Doubles on the Elite 15 start list, so the preparation notes come from racing the format.
Dates move. Confirm on the official event page before booking flights.
There is no Dublin course
The eight stations, their order, distances and your division's loads are fixed by the rulebook worldwide: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, row, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls, each after a 1km run.
What varies by venue:
- Track layout and laps per kilometre, which changes how runnable the 8km feels.
- Floor surface, which changes sled friction noticeably.
- Roxzone length, whose time counts towards your finish.
- Wave congestion at busier sessions.
So a Dublin time and a London time are not directly comparable, even for the same athlete.
Getting there
The RDS is in Ballsbridge, roughly 4km south-east of Dublin city centre.
- DART to Sandymount or Lansdowne Road, both a short walk from the venue.
- Bus, with several routes serving Ballsbridge from the city centre.
- Walk or cycle from the centre in about 45 minutes or 15 minutes respectively.
- Dublin Airport is around 12km north, so allow 40 to 60 minutes by bus or taxi depending on traffic.
If you are travelling from Great Britain, this is an international trip. Bring photo ID even though the Common Travel Area means you may not need a passport, because airlines require identification regardless. Ireland uses the euro, not sterling.
Fly into Dublin the day before rather than on race morning. A delayed flight is a wasted entry, and November weather makes delays likelier.
The November factor
The hall will be cold before your wave. Layers you can shed late are worth having.
Your training block runs through autumn. Counting back twelve weeks from mid-November starts you in late August, so the block runs through September and October as daylight shortens. If your running depends on light evenings, plan now for how you will handle darker sessions.
The practical part: twelve weeks out from Dublin
Counting back from mid-November, a twelve-week block starts in late August.
- Weeks 1-4, running base. Three runs a week: one easy 5km, one interval session, one longer easy run of 8-10km. Running predicts your finish more than any station.
- Weeks 5-8, compromised work. One weekly session going straight from a station into a run. Row 500m, run 1km, four times through.
- Weeks 9-11, race weight throughout. Weigh your gym's sled and load to total race weight, because the official figures include the sled.
- Week 12, taper. Halve volume, retain intensity.
- Add travel to the plan. Book the day-before flight and the accommodation in week one, not week eleven. Logistics stress in race week costs more than a missed session.
What to bring
- Photo ID for the flight, and euros or a card that does not charge for them.
- Layers for a cold hall before your wave.
- Gloves if you use them for the sled pull and farmers carry.
- Shoes you have already run in.
- Food, since the wait between arrival and your wave can be long.
Honest limitations
Wave times are set at entry close and hall layout is published close to the event, so neither can be given here.
Dates and venues change. These were read from the official listing, but confirm before booking non-refundable travel, which matters more for a flight than a train.
Travelling to race also adds cost and fatigue that a home event does not. If this is your first HYROX, a closer race removes variables at a point when you have enough of them.
