The UK and Ireland HYROX calendar: every race, venue and prep window

All six UK and Ireland HYROX races for the 2026/27 season, with venues, transport and the date your twelve-week build should start. Dates read from HYROX's own event pages.

The pack surging off the line through smoke cannons

The UK and Ireland host six HYROX races across the 2026/27 season, running from late October 2026 to late May 2027. Every date and venue below is read from HYROX's own event pages.

Corrected 2 August 2026. An earlier version of this page listed four races on dates that were estimated from previous seasons rather than confirmed, and linked to event pages that no longer exist. Those dates were wrong. The calendar below is the real one.

The UK and Ireland calendar at a glance

27 October 2026. HYROX Birmingham at the NEC

The season opener for UK athletes. Birmingham International rail station connects to the NEC by covered walkway, and direct trains from London Euston take around 70 to 80 minutes. Extensive on-site parking and hotels adjacent. Birmingham event details, or the full preparation guide.

11 November 2026. HYROX Dublin at the RDS

Ireland's race, at the Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, about 4km from the city centre and served by the DART. For athletes travelling from Great Britain this is an international trip: bring photo ID and euros. Dublin event details, or the preparation guide.

2 December 2026. HYROX London at ExCeL

The largest UK event. Custom House on the Elizabeth line and the DLR both serve the venue. ExCeL is enormous, so allow more time than the journey planner suggests to reach your actual start area. London event details, or the preparation guide.

20 January 2027. HYROX Manchester at Manchester Central

The Northern race, five minutes from Piccadilly and walking distance from most city-centre hotels. A January date means a training block straight through the festive period, which is worth planning for rather than discovering. Manchester event details.

10 March 2027. HYROX Glasgow at the Scottish Event Campus

The Scottish race, on the north bank of the Clyde. Exhibition Centre station sits beside the campus, a few minutes from Glasgow Central. Glasgow event details, or the preparation guide.

20 May 2027. HYROX Cardiff at the Principality Stadium

The one city-centre stadium venue on the calendar, five minutes from Cardiff Central. The published window is unusually wide, so confirm your specific day when waves are announced. Cardiff event details, or the preparation guide.

When to start training for each

HYROX blocks work backwards from the race date. The standard build is 12 weeks, 16 if you are returning after time off. Counting back from the first day of each event window:

| Race | Event window opens | 12-week build starts | 16-week build starts | |---|---|---|---| | Birmingham | 27 Oct 2026 | early Aug 2026 | early Jul 2026 | | Dublin | 11 Nov 2026 | late Aug 2026 | late Jul 2026 | | London | 2 Dec 2026 | mid Sep 2026 | mid Aug 2026 | | Manchester | 20 Jan 2027 | late Oct 2026 | late Sep 2026 | | Glasgow | 10 Mar 2027 | mid Dec 2026 | mid Nov 2026 | | Cardiff | 20 May 2027 | late Feb 2027 | late Jan 2027 |

Dates shown are the start of each event window. Divisions and waves spread across several days, so confirm your own race day before fixing a build start.

Suth Performance programmes auto-calibrate to your chosen race date, you tell us when you're racing, the 12 weeks build backwards from it.

Which one should you pick?

For your first Hyrox: Manchester or Birmingham. Smaller fields, less queue pressure, easier to find your bearings.

For the bucket-list experience: ExCeL London. Largest event, biggest atmosphere, most divisions running.

For competitive racing: any of them, race standards are identical. The Pro division at ExCeL tends to attract the deepest field because it's the biggest UK qualifier.

For accessibility: depends on where you live. The two-hour drive rule is real, most first-time racers underperform when they've travelled more than two hours that morning. Pick the closest venue you can get to with one travel day before.

What happens on race weekend

All UK venues run a two-day weekend. Friday is bag-drop and athlete check-in (optional but recommended). Saturday and Sunday run waves throughout the day, most age-group athletes race Saturday; Sunday tends to be Doubles, Pro, and Masters.

Wave times are released about 4 weeks before each event. You'll get an email from Hyrox with your specific time slot. Plan to arrive 90 minutes before your wave for the full warm-up protocol.

Travel + accommodation

Each event page has venue-specific transport notes and recommended hotels. The general rules:

  • Book the hotel as soon as you register. Race-week rooms sell out 3-4 months ahead at London and Birmingham.
  • Walking distance beats cheap-and-distant. A £40 cheaper room that's a 20-minute taxi ride away is worse than the £40 room next door.
  • Arrive the day before if you're racing. Don't drive 3 hours the morning of.
  • Train in the destination city if you can the day before. Find a local PureGym or commercial gym, do a 20-minute mobility flow, build familiarity with the city.

What's NOT in the 2026 UK calendar

Glasgow is the only Scottish race. Belfast doesn't yet host a Hyrox event. Northern Irish athletes typically travel to Manchester or Liverpool to fly out for Birmingham/London. Cardiff and Bristol haven't had recurring fixtures despite strong local communities.

This will likely change. Hyrox is expanding fast in the UK and additional cities are reportedly under negotiation. We'll update this page as fixtures get announced.

How to use this for your training year

Pick one A-race. That's the race you taper for, peak for, and emotionally invest in. Pick a B-race 8-12 weeks later if you want a year-round goal, your B-race fitness is the bonus from the A-race build.

The 2026/27 calendar clusters awkwardly: four of the six races fall between late October and mid March, then nothing until Cardiff in May. A workable pattern is an autumn A-race (Birmingham or London) and a spring A-race (Glasgow or Cardiff), with the winter between them as base-building rather than a second peak.

HYROX adds, moves and occasionally cancels races through a season. This page is maintained against the official event listings, but a date read today can still be revised, so confirm on the event calendar before booking anything non-refundable.

Source: all dates and venues are read from HYROX's own event pages, normalised into this site's race dataset. Nothing on this page is estimated from previous seasons.
